SoulFit Woonona and Flourish Mama have teamed up to bring you a special screening of Embrace: KIDS! This is so important to us. Young People today have to navigate the global epidemic of body shaming, in person and online, this leads to the distorted belief that our bodies are not good enough as they are. In fact 77% of adolescents report having body image distress. This is heartbreaking!

Why? This concern about weight & appearance can lead to more risk taking behaviours (think alcohol, drugs, self harm) and the development of anxiety, eating disorders and depression. Actually, young people who are dissatisfied with their bodies are 24 times more likely to develop depression.

And that’s why, we’re stoked that THIS film has been created. WE can become educated (and educate our Kids) about the IMPORTANCE of uniqueness and of being ourselves in every part of our lives.
