UOW College Homestay hosts welcome international students into their homes and encourage them to experience life as a member of their family. Register now to be a part of this rewarding cultural exchange!
No previous experience is required - just the ability to provide a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.
The benefits of hosting homestay students include:
A unique cultural experience - share your culture and learn about theirs!
Broaden your horizons and experience a different perspective on life. If you have children, the experience will help them develop an inclusive mindset and build their confidence when meeting new people.
Provide a valuable service to those who are studying abroad - your guest will quickly improve their language skills through daily conversation and by immersing themselves in local culture and learning the lingo!
Alternative to rental income - hosts receive a weekly payment to assist with day-to-day food and accommodation expenses.
Great company - Hosts often tell us that they enjoy the social interaction & sharing an evening meal together with their students.
