The 'Be Informed' workshop teaches proactive behaviours against sexual harm of individuals with disabilities.
4 x children with disabilities are 4 time more likely to be sexually harmed than non-disabled children
90% of women with an intellectual disability have experienced sexual harm in their lifetime
68% of women with disabilities who experienced sexual harm will experience it before their 18th birthday
These alarming statistics MUST call us into action. Sexual harm prevention of individuals with disabilities is a community responsibility. Enough with reactive measures, its time to be PROACTIVE!
