Toddler hip dysplasia
We are now awaiting to see the GP next week to be referred to see a specialist.
My son is 15 months old now, he has started taking his first steps and walking around last week. We had our paediatrician visits and GP visits at birth, 6 weeks and 9 weeks postnatal, no hip dysplasia was diagnosed. Only on one occasion, the health nurse has mentioned he had uneven thigh creases on both legs, but even then she wasn't particularly concern, as both legs are the same length. She then referred me to the GP, and then the X-ray was done at 13 months. Result come back showed the right hip bone was at 23 degree which is a higher degree within the normal range. The second x-ray was done a couple of weeks ago, supposed to confirm and rule out the hip dysplasia but the result shows the right hip bone is now at 25 degree which indicates hip dysplasia.
Do any of your toddlers were diagnosed with hip dysplasia? If yes how severe is your case, did your toddler get any invasive treatments and how is the outcome?
Thank you!
